Crepe Paper Blue Cerinthe - Honeywort

A favorite of bees and hummingbirds, this underappreciated plant has beautiful, indigo/violet bells and bracts that are evocative of mythical dragon's scales or the eyes of a peacock's tail feathers. The inflorescence bows gracefully with blue cast, glaucous leaves. The highlight of this class will be employing color tools (whether it be through the use of sprays or hand-painting and artists chalks) to achieve the blue spectrum (and fade-proof) shades of these blossoms.  A very suitable and unique addition to paper flower arrangements, especially those of purple or jewel tone palettes. Extra supplies, templates, and written instructions will be provided.
