Crepe Paper Carnation Sport

{Old Masters Floral Series}    Carnations have suffered the unfortunate fate of many once-beloved flowers - bred into an undeserved role as a bland supermarket stand-by.  Vintage botanical prints and paintings show them in their subtly colored or mottled beauty. The striped versions were the result of a robust carnation breeding scene, especially during the 19th century  - hence, the term "sport", a genetic mutation that would yield results like the candy stripes of many heirloom carnations.  You will learn to create striped carnations of the antique variety and the "dusty", burnished hues that are currently in vogue using a variety of color tools.  Take home a beautiful mini bouquet with blossoms and buds.  Instructor will provide, templates, written schematic/instructions, as well as pre-sculpted bud forms.
