Crepe Paper Quince Box

Quince is an old-fashioned fruit, whose many floral scented charms are appreciated by a lucky few in the modern world.  Immediately recognizable by its lumpy, sunny yellow form, it is said to to be the Golden Apple of old world mythologies.  In this class you will make medium sized gift box, learning light-sculpture techniques to emulate the unique form of the ripe quince fruit, complete with foliage and gilded interior. Time permitting, you will also learn to craft the beautiful blossoms of the fruiting quince. Students will go home with supplies to replicate the project, as well as any templates, botanical  reference illustrations, and written instructions.
